Produced by Choirs of America, in association with Harmony Productions, In Harmony Collaborative Festival for adult choirs is set to become the premier summer destination for college, community, and church choirs from all over the country.
In Harmony has been thoughtfully calibrated and specifically curated to provide an amazing experience to adult choirs of all types. As its name implies, In Harmony flows from a collectively held belief that collaboration and connection during musical performances generates unmatched opportunities to create life-long memories (not to mention making for a spectacular concert).
As a program, In Harmony prioritizes high level conductor interactions, community building massed choir rehearsals, and memorable performance opportunities hand-in-hand with numerous collaborative interactions with other choirs and teaching artists.
As an added benefit, you and your Singers will have the opportunity to work with two of America’s finest choral conductors, Jason Max Ferdinand and Coty Raven Morris, for a spectacular concert performance complete with a world-premiere written especially for the occasion by Composer-in-Residence, Pinkzebra.

Program Overview
During the 3-day In Harmony: Enhanced Residency + Concert Performance in the vibrant "Big Apple," your choir will be treated to a rich tapestry of musical, cultural, and socially rewarding experiences. Here's what awaits:
- Collaborative Sessions: Merge voices and share techniques with fellow adult choirs, cultivating a sense of unity and shared purpose.
- Mentorship by the Masters: Dive deep into sessions led by esteemed teaching artists offering a unique opportunity to elevate your choir's skills.
- Cultural Exchanges: Engage in heartwarming exchanges with members from other choirs, fostering an environment of mutual learning and appreciation.
- Discover New York City: Immerse yourselves in the cultural and culinary delights of "the city that never sleeps," weaving sightseeing, group meals, and musical inspiration into a seamless experience.
- Grand Finale Performance in Carnegie Hall: The spotlight awaits your choir in a magnificent concert performance. Each participating choir will perform individually, and in collaboration with 1 or 2 other participating choirs (as partner choirs), and as part of a dynamic massed choir program led by Jason Max Ferdinand and Coty Raven Morris, culminating in an inspiring all-choir world premiere finale by Composer-in-Residence, Pinkzebra

Program Inclusions
Pre-Trip Inclusions...
- Festival chorus development and preparation assistance
- Selection of and introduction to the 1 or 2 choir(s) with whom you will perform as partner choirs.
- Rehearsal notes from COA’s Artistic Team relating to massed choir repertoire assigned by the Principal Conductor, enhanced residency, and performance logistics, etc.
- Detailed event and performance schedule provided to each participating choir
- Concert advertising and audience development

Enhanced Residency Overview...
Day One - Wednesday, June 9, 2027
- Harmonizing Session #1: During this 3 hour session, you and your choir will meet and rehearse both with your partner choir(s) and with the massed choir at large. Rehearsals will be led by Jason Max Ferdinand and Coty Raven Morris.
- xChange - A Meeting of Voices: To open the massed choir rehearsal, all participating children's & youth choirs will have the opportunity to engage in a heartwarming collaborative exchange, fostering connections through song and social interaction.
- The remainder of your day will be open for sightseeing in and around NYC. Our tour division, Harmony Tours, can provide an amazing, comprehensive group tour for your entire time exploring the "Big Apple."
Day Two - Thursday, June 10, 2027
- Harmonizing Session #2: Delve deeper into your musical journey during another rehearsal with your partner choir(s) and the massed ensemble. During this session, Coty Raven Morris will also work with all choirs on the world premiere from our Composer-in-Residence, Pinkzebra.
- The rest of your day is open to dive into NYC's wonders, exploring hidden gems, iconic sights, and culinary delights.
- Broadway Brilliance: This evening is left open in case you want to take the choir to a mesmerizing Broadway Musical. If you are traveling with Harmony Tours, we can include both a Broadway 101 Workshop with a Broadway performer, and build the Broadway Musical of your choice into the tour itinerary.
Day Three - Friday, June 11, 2027
- Final Flourishes: This morning, you'll have the chance to perfect your performance during a morning dress rehearsal.
- Stage Dynamics: Hone your stage presence with an afternoon cue-to-cue logistics practice.
- Evening's Crescendo: Take center stage in a grand concert performance in world-famous Carnegie Hall (see details below)!

- Harmony in Numbers: Experience the grandeur of a massed choir performance of adult choirs, epitomizing the wonder of an expansive community of voices uniting in song.
- Masterpiece Finale: The concert will crescendo into an all-choir, world premiere of a piece exclusively composed for this majestic evening by Pinkzebra.
